About Susan Faitos, M.A., L.M.F.T.

For years, I have operated at the intersection of three worlds: as a rare disease patient, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and a non-profit Executive Director.

I know the beautiful, exhausting, high-stakes reality of leading a rare advocacy group. We pour everything into our communities, sometimes at the expense of our own health.

This is what motivated me to launch a consulting practice specifically designed to support rare leaders. I am combining my clinical tools and operational experience to help rare non-profit EDs navigate burnout, manage board dynamics, and build sustainable strategies.

When I’m not navigating the rare disease space or seeing clients in my private practice, I can be found outdoors; either gardening, swimming, enjoying friends and family or trying to keep up with my very active dog.
